Kuilima Estates — Condos at Turtle Bay

Kuilima Estates is a residential condo community on the northeast tip of Oahu, right next to Turtle Bay Resort in Kahuku. If you're looking at Kuilima Estates rentals on the North Shore, this is the quieter, more local way to stay near Turtle Bay — your own condo with a kitchen and lanai instead of a resort hotel room.

Where is Kuilima Estates?

Kuilima Estates sits along Kuilima Drive in Kahuku (96731), on Oahu's North Shore — about an hour's drive from Honolulu Airport and Waikiki. "Kuilima" is the original name of this stretch of coast, and the estates wrap around the grounds of Turtle Bay Resort, so you're steps from the resort's beaches, golf courses, and restaurants without paying resort-hotel nightly rates.

The community is split into Kuilima Estates West and Kuilima Estates East — low-rise condo buildings set among lawns and tropical gardens, with shared pools. Our condo, Turtle Bay Hale, is in Kuilima Estates West.

What you can walk to

  • Turtle Bay Resort — beaches, the Palmer and Fazio golf courses, restaurants, and the bay itself, all a short stroll away.
  • Kuilima Cove — a protected little bay with the easiest snorkeling on the North Shore, right next to the resort.
  • Kawela Bay — a quiet crescent beach a short walk down the coast through the ironwoods.
  • Pools, lawns, and the gardens inside the estates themselves.

A little farther afield: Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline, Haleiwa town, and the Kahuku shrimp trucks are all a short drive west. Plan the rest of your trip with our North Shore Guide and things to do nearby.

Staying at Kuilima Estates

Condos here are privately owned and rented out individually, so what you get varies by unit. Ours is a 1-bedroom, 2-bath condo that sleeps 4, with a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and a screened lanai. For most couples and small families it's a calmer, better-value base than a hotel — you cook your own fresh ahi, do your laundry, and walk to the beach in the morning.
